Blaauwberg This is the more relaxed side of Cape Town and the gateway the west coast. The west coast of Cape Town is known for untapped and uncrowded surfing aswell as great fishing and just your general laid back lifestyle. Small fishing communities like Yzerfontein are great places to spend a day.
Century City is a wonderland of stores where hours seem like minutes and the willingness to shop never seems to end. The foodcourt is something to marvel at and has every cuisine one can possibly think of. The entertainment arena next to the foodcourt is the setting for many things such as robot wars, plays, kiddies football tournaments and other specialty events.
Milnerton, although a small suburb, boasts a good list of attractions. The main centre here is called The Paddocks and holds some good restaraunts. Woodbridge Island is situated here too which is a small, semi-detached residential village by the sea. Here one can take a paddle along the small river mouth or even play a round of golf at the charming 18 hole course. The lighthouse here is also an attraction.
Tableview is known as the windy suburb. Here one will find windsurfers, hobie cats, kitesurfers and a little further down the drag is Derdesteen, one of Cape Towns favourite surf spots. If you are looking for a bite to eat, Doodles on the beachfront makes a great pizza and The Blue Peter is a relaxing place to have a drink on a nice sunny day.
